Our Values

Participation in The Knightly Order of the Flumenus Lux is an act of commitment and dedication requiring a member to conduct their life in accordance with a set of values consistent with honor, duty, chivalry and charity. To this end, each member who attains the rank of Knight commits themselves to not only living in accordance with these values, but to holding his brother or sister Knights to these standards as well. We recognize that this is a journey and a lifelong quest and not an absolute. It is in the pursuit and striving that we find actualization.

The Code

• Thou shalt respect the weak and constitute thyself the defender of them.

• Thou shalt love the land to which thou hast sworn fealty.

• Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy.

• Thou shalt make war upon Evil without cessation.

• Thou shalt scrupulously perform thy noble duties be they not contrary to the laws of the land.

• Thou shalt be generous and give freely to everyone.

• Thou shalt never lie and always be faithful to thy word.

• Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil.

The Measure

Knights are sworn to valor;

Our hearts must know only virtue; 

Our perfect blades must defend the helpless; 

And our might shall uphold the weak; 

Our breath shall bring a word that speaks only truth; 

Our justly wrath shall undo the wicked.
